The Global Shapers Community was founded in 2011 by Claus Schwab to “empower young people to play an active role in shaping local, regional and global agendas.” Despite clearly being an arm of the World Economic Forum, they claim to be a grassroots organization that is comprised of people under age 30, boasting 14,000 members, in 456 city-based hubs in 150 countries.
The Global Shapers released a report in October 2021, titled Global Shapers Community – Celebrating a Decade of Impact. Perhaps, also not surprisingly, they are also partnered with the UN Agenda 2030.

In Canada, seven cities are noted as being “hubs” for the Global Shapers: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax.
Following are the identified members of the Global Shapers Community in Canada, broken down by city. (Work in progress.)
